I don’t know about you, but I love a good sparkling wine. It shouldn’t be something just for special occasions but something you can enjoy regularly.

Some sparkling wines, like Champagne, are expensive and associated with luxury — giving people the false impression that sparkling wine has to be expensive. But there are some outstanding, affordable sparkling wines to be found. This is an example of such a wine.

This wine comes from Domaine Bousquet in Tupungato, Alto Gualtallary in Argentina. It’s not a region known for sparkling wine, which probably helps make this wine so affordable. The fact that the bubbles in the wine are produced using the charmat method, which is less expensive than the traditional method, also contributes to the reasonable price on this wine.

But make no mistake, there’s a whole lot of goodness in this wine! In fact, it was listed in Wine Enthusiast magazine’s Top 100 Best Buys of 2020.

It’s made from organic grapes. Specifically, a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay — two excellent grapes for making sparkling wine.

This wine has a stunning copper/salmon-pink color that looks absolutely beautiful in the glass. It offers soft cranberry and citrus fragrances, with a hint of nuttiness. The taste is delicious, delivering bright lemon, lime and cranberry flavors with just the right level of tartness. The mouthfeel is bubbly and slightly creamy. It finishes relatively long.

At $13, a sparkling wine like this is a steal!
